GASTRONOMIC
ECUATORIAN FESTIVAL SHERATON MARIA ISABEL
& TOWERS
- From August 31 to September
6, it will be possible enjoy the Ecuadorian
food in the Mexico City.
- From 7 p.m., in the
Restaurant Amici the Ecuadorian cuisine
will offer, with a cost of 290 pesos for
person.
- The Chef Christian
Rafael Ramirez will move from Quito, Ecuador
to the Mexico City to prepare the saucers
of this Latin-American country.
From
August 31 to September 6 will be celebrate
the festival of Ecuadorian food in Sheraton
Maria Isabel Hotel & Towers in the Restaurant
Amici. From 7 p.m., will present the saucers
in a buffet of gastronomic degustation that
will include from bar of salads and traditional
plates as the Timbushca with ribs, potatoes
Locro with cheese, Encocado of shrimp, Loin
of pork in sauce of orange and taxo, fried
Pargo in sauce of pepas of bowlegged and
desserts as the sweet of figs in black honey
and the perfume of spirit of the equator,
among others. The Ecuadorian current food
is the result of a rich culinary tradition,
in which substances and European customs
are combined.
The
gastronomy in Ecuador emphasizes the diversity
of ingredients, among which they find the
fished ones and seafood, the meats
of lamb; pork, cow and turkey, as well as
you eat them, the corn and diverse fruits
and vegetables. The Chef Christian Rafael
Ramirez, of Sheraton Quito will realize
personally the food combination. "Ecuador
is very well located geographically and
the ingredients come principally from the
Pacific Ocean, from the Andes and with the
Amazonian jungle. The cuisine turns concerning
the fish, with which the etnias of the zone
elaborate diverse autochthonous plates".
"In
the Ecuadorian cuisine one uses very much
the spices as the chili, coriander, parsley,
cinnamon, which provides an excellent flavor
in the saucers", aimed at the Chef
Christian Rafael. Guido Stütz, The
Director of food and beverages of Sheraton
Maria Isabel, will receive as culinary guest
the Chef Ramirez and will arrange every
team of kitchen of the hotel to help in
the preparation of the recipes and saucers.
This gastronomic festival, the second of
the year that is realized in Sheraton Maria
Isabel, seeks to promote the gastronomy
of other countries among the Mexicans, as
well as to provide a space for the Ecuadorian
community to remember and to enjoy their
culture.
About the Chef Rafael Ramirez
counts with more than 10 years of experience
in the Ecuadoran cuisine. Original of the
Quito City, Ecuador, he has taken part in
openings of restaurants and hotels. Nowadays
is the Chef of the Cook's Restaurant of
the hotel Sheraton Quito.
