Natural and Urban Landscape

México City has many facets: Much of its architecture reflects its rapid growth during the 20th century, yet it has an eclectic look because many of its neighborhoods were once separate towns that have been absorbed by the city.

Don’t miss Paseo de la Reforma and Insurgentes Sur, the city’s major entertainment centers are located along these avenues.
The Historic Center contains centuries of architectural treasures. The city’s most modern and exclusive neighborhoods are Polanco, Lomas de Chapultepec and Santa Fé.

Coyoacán and San Ángel still look like the towns they once were. The streets of the Condesa neighborhood, a favorite meeting place of the younger set, are lined with cafés.

Fashion

The city’s most exclusive shops are found along Av. President Masaryk, in Polanco and there are modern malls in Santa Fe, Perisur and Plaza Loreto. The Pink Zone and downtown are also filled with shops. El Puerto de Liverpool and El Palacio de Hierro are the city’s most famous department stores.
