Puebla,
the City of Angels, contains more works of art than any other place in México
and the Américas. The Historic Center of the city, which was founded in
the 16th century, reflects its rich and turbulent history and was declared a World
Heritage Site by UNESCO. Although the downtown area showcases centuries of history,
Puebla today is one of Méxicos largest cities, and a first-class
industrial, commercial and tourism center. It fulfills the needs of a population
that is conscious of its past but at the same time looks toward its future. This
rapidly growing, contemporary city, with many big, modern buildings, extends in
all directions from the Historic Center. Surrounding it are numerous interesting
attractions that make this destination one of the most fascinating in all México.
Hotels Puebla
has two Special Category hotels that are, in themselves, an extraordinary experience.
These period homes have been adapted to provide guests with all modern conveniences
and are ideal for small incentive trips. For larger groups there are several outstanding
Grand Tourism properties.

temples and palaces built in a variety of architectural styles that feature special
decorative elements for which the region is famed. Talavera tiles adorn almost

a stroll through the city a true delight. Pueblas Historical Center
still preserves much of its traditional lifestyle. Many occupations that have
disappeared in other parts of México continue to endure in this city.

of items produced in the state of Puebla makes this a paradise for shoppers in
the market for decorative arts and handicrafts. The citys handicraft markets
are alive with color. El Parían is one of the most easily accessible and
popular. Throughout the city are a number of shops and workshops where fine
quality crafts are produced. Restaurants
