Location
Cozumel is the largest Island in the Mexican Caribbean. It is located to the east
of the Yucatán Peninsula, in the State of Quintana Roo. To get to Cozumel
from México City, you must travel 1,025 miles to Cancún, and 82
miles to Playa del Carmen. There, you can catch a ferry to Cozumel.
Air
Transportation There are many domestic and international
flights to Cozumel International Airport each day. Continental Airlines has a
direct flight from Houston; US Airways has one from Charlote and Philadelphia,
and American Airlines from Dallas, Charter flights can be booked from most important
cities, including Austin, Dallas, Houston, Chicago Midway, San Antonio and Denver.
There are also daily flights from México City and Cancún on Mexicana
and Aerocaribe. Climate
The average daily temperature in Cozumel is 80 degrees (27ºC). In July /August
the highs range from the upper 80´s to the low 90´s. (32ºC).
In December and January, the daytime temperatures average the mid 70´s (24ºC).
Water temperature ranges from 77º to 82 ºF (25º-28ºC) throughout
