Villahermosa is situated to the southeast of México in the state de Tabasco, near the Gulf of México, 477 miles from México City.
On the east it borders with Guatemala and the state of Campeche; to the north, the Gulf of México; to the southeast, the state of Chiapas and to the west it borders the state of Veracruz.
