Strategically located in the center of México, Aguascalientes has an area of about 2,156 square miles, and is 319 miles away from México City.
Although Aguascalientes is one of the smallest states in the nation, it has eleven municipalities, of which its namesake is the largest, taking up one–third of its total area.

The average temperature is 77.6º F during spring and summer. It goes down to 73.6º F in autumn and it drops even further to 68.8 º F during the winter.

Aguascalientes has 719,659 inhabitants.

Aguascalientes is an industrial City, which produces mainly, textiles and clothes. The metal, automobile, electronic and food industries are also very important.

A secondary activity, is agriculture in the old Haciendas.
