THE XVIIIth
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OF SPORT FISHING BIG
GAME TROLLING
From
October 25 to November 1 Mazatlan there
will turn into the world capital of the
sports fishing with the XVIII World Championship
of Sports Fishing Big Game Trolling to be
celebrating in this port for which already
have confirmed assistance 27 teams from
15 countries of all the continents. Mexico
will be represented by three original teams
of Baja California South, Quintana Roo and
Sinaloa. The presentation of the same ones
was carried out this weekend in El Cid La
Marina. Accompanied of the undersecretary
of Tourism Board of Sinaloa, Raúl
Llera Martínez; the director of Sports
Fishing of Conapesca, Bernardino Muñoz,
added that this event that will be realized
by the first time in the continent will
open a new segment of tourism for Mazatlán,
since one expects to possess delegations
of 40 countries. Up to this weekend had
confirmed their participation two teams
from England, two from South Africa, three
from Spain, one from Switzerland, one from
Australia, one from Venezuela and two Americans;
three
French include two Italians, two from Slovenia,
one from Nicaragua, two from Egypt, one
from Senegal, one from Belize and certainly,
three Mexicans. During the presentation
of three teams that will represent Mexico
they announced the dates: on October 25
the participants' will be the register,
26 will be the official day of practice,
27, the captains' meeting and the 28th,
29 and 30 will go out to the fishing. The
team of Baja California South is integrated
by Alfredo "Perico" Sanchez, Ricardo
"Canana" Guerrero, Daniel Fisher
Guerrero and Oscar Dacarett; in that of
Quintana Roo there are Rosalío and
Tadeo Mezzo, Martin Santos and Jose Luis
Azcarre, while that of Sinaloa, for Javier
Urrecha, David Palos, Ramon Puerta and Francisco
Nieto. The undersecretary of Tourism, Raúl
Llera Martínez emphasized the transcendence
of the event, for the tourist promotion
that will represent Mazatlan, for what the
Government of Sinaloa has been supporting
it for more than one year, when the accomplishment
was proposed in this tourist destination.
