BRISAS HOTELS & RESORTS INVESTS $69.5 MDD IN REMODELLING 7 HOTELS

Las Brisas Hotels & Resorts (BH&R), independent hotel group Mexican hundred per cent recently invested $69.5 million dollars in the remodeling and updates their hotels. For 2010 will invest 12 million dollars additional, including the opening of new hotels. The advertisement was done by the Ing. Antonio Cosío Pando Vice-president of the Group. Cosío Pando commented: "In the concrete case of our emblem hotel, Las Brisas of Acapulco, about 25 million dollars were invested in the remodeling of 263 rooms without changing the "retro" style. Other two million dollars will be invested soon in the construction of a SPA that will be the center of activities and attraction for the most demanding national and foreign tourists who visit Acapulco. In the same hotel, there is opened the public the famous and traditional restaurant Bella Vista, motive enough for admiring the remodeling of the hotel complex, across the concept of hamlet by small chalets opened in December, 1957". Nowadays Brisas Hotels Resorts possesses seven hotels: Las Brisas Acapulco,

Plaza Galerias Mexico, Plaza Galerias Veracruz, Hacienda Juríca Querétaro, Las Brisas Huatulco, Las Brisas Ixtapa and Las Hadas Manzanillo, recognized among 100 better hotels of the world for the publications Condé Nast Traveler and Travel and Leisure. In whole the Group possesses 2,216 rooms, suites and little houses attended by 5.5 thousand collaborators, which is translated in 1.5 persons by room, a personalized attention overhead from the average of the hotel industry, 1.1 personnel by room. Antonio Cosío Pando added: "The year that comes we will continue with the process of update of the hotels,

with an additional investment of 12 million dollars and already we have plans to open new hotels in different parts of the republic. I can tell that in Mexico City we possess two areas located in the south zone and the study in Cancún or Riviera Maya for the construction of a new hotel. Also we glide to open another hotel on the Nayarita Coast or Puerto Vallarta and probably one more in Baja California South, where we have an area of 134 hectares to construct a golf course and an integral property development. Plaza Galerias Veracruz: constructed with direct access to the most important Mall of the State "Plaza Las Americas", it counts with options for the rest and the Businessmen and especially for Groups and Conventions. This hotel will start in September a program of remodeling for rooms as the Beach Club, with an approximate investment of 7 million dollars. 3 years ago it was fulfilled by the remodeling of the Conventions Ballroom with capacity for 1,700 persons.
