NATIONAL PROMOTION
FOR ACAPULCO
- Continue the actions
by the Tourist Promotion Board of Acapulco
to promote the port inside the Mexican
Republic.
As
a whole with the Secretariat of Tourist
Promotion of the Guerrero's State and the
Mexican Association of Marketing and Executives
of Sales of Hotels (AMMEVH), there are kept
the actions of promotion of the destination
across the educational seminars for travel
agents, which in these occasion were realized
in the State of Jalisco from September 22
to September 25, like that it was informed
by the Director of FIDETUR, Jesus Radilla
Calderón. The cities contemplated
in this caravan are Guadalajara and places
of Jalisco el Alto (Tepatitlán, Lagos
de Moreno, Jalostitlán, La Barca,
etc.), where there was estimated a participation
of about 230 travel agents.
Jesus
Radilla commented that the principal aim
of these seminars is to promote Acapulco,
beside qualifying and to update the travel
agents of the region on the innovations
that the port has to offer; as well as the
principal attractions, cultural events,
spectacles, sports etc., strengthening by
this way the tourist image of the port and
fomenting the abundance and economic assessment
of the same one. Later, the promotional
activities of Acapulco moved to such important
markets as Toluca and Cuernavaca, where
seminars were realized from September 28
to October 2; whereas from October 5 to
October 9 it will be realized in Oaxaca
and from October 12 to October 16 in León
and Querétaro.
By
the same way, continue the Advertising Campaigns
across cooperative programs with the Council
of Tourist Promotion of Acapulco and diverse
commercial, such associates as Best Day,
Sendetur, Aeromar and Etnia Tours; investing
together a whole of 8 million 700 thousand
pesos. These campaigns are in force from
the month of Julio and will remain until
December. Whereas the Campaign of Image
started in April and they will finish until
January, 2010, concluded. Likewise the Secretary
of Tourist Promotion, C. Ernesto Rodríguez
Escalona demonstrated that the above mentioned
actions as a whole with the private initiative
will strengthen moreover the co-responsibility
of the whole sector with the intention of
achieving that Acapulco is kept as the tourist
destination preferred by the National Tourism.
